What's the point? |
||
We've got names for everything. We've branded the gospel. Slick ads... professional voice overs...marketing plans...the truth is now a product. The name "Clasically Trained Glazed Donuts" is designed to be meaningless. You need a name, it's just practical. But there is no deep symbolism. No tie-in to a regional or national marketing plan. Our youth group is about spiritual and personal growth, relationships, and fun. Period. |

God doesn't market Himself. Never has. Christ didn't market himself. He did the opposite. He ALWAYS went for the meaning, regardless of how it looked. The truth is not something that needs to be marketed. We don't follow God because He has a cool name. We don't have faith because dying on the cross had good visual appeal. The complexity of God's love is a paradoxical. Here's the point, the truth is enough. If it isn't, we're in a lot of trouble. |
